If you haven’t already got or listened to Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories album, then get on the case. This is the fourth studio album from Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo.
Random Access Memories differs from their EDM sound that they originate from. They have incorporated the production styles and sounds of the 70’s, 80’s. We get a feel of soft-rock and a mix of disco vibes.
For Random Access Memories they recorded in the best studios, worked with the best musicians and added orchestras and choirs where they felt necessary. They also almost completely avoided samples. They wanted to create an album that was totally original and take listeners on a trip; the way LP’s were supposed to be experienced. Their album features a host of musical greats including legend Nile Rodgers and N.E.R.D’s Pharrell Williams.
