DJs at 35,000 feet

There are a few passions that I have in life, Firstly is to DJ and second is aviation. So when I heard about DJs at 35,000 feet above the Atlantic djing, you can understand my excitement. I had to check it out.

Well that is exactly what Rudimental & Gorgon city did last week. They were on board the new Virgin Atlantic 787 Dreamliner. While in flight on the inaugural from London to Atlanta. They had DJs at 35,000 feet up in the air, cutting up DJ sets for fans on board. Now ive done a lot in my career as an entertainer, but this must be the height of a DJs timeline (excuse the pun)

The event took place as Virgin will now start flying from London to Atlanta. To mark the special occasion the two groups were asked to perform exclusive sets in the air. This is the first time ive heard of such an event. Simply awesome.

The new Dreamliner has upgraded passenger comforts as well as environmental benefits. The improved fuel efficiency means a 21% more efficient on a per flight basis than an equivalent sized aircraft in Virgin’s feet. This makes it one of the major airliners to drive the commitment to improve carbon efficiency by 30% before 2020.

Enough of the geeking out on the tech side of things. Ill say it again, the fact that there were DJs at 35,000 feet above the Atlantic playing a live set to fan on an aircraft and partying is simply extreme cool! I want and need to have an experience like this!

So any event companies out there that want to replicate this, or even take it to the next level. I down for it just let me know. Or who knows we could even take this to the next level. Why have Djs at 35,000 feet. Lets do space!!
